Our Rump Biltong, is handmade from locally sourced A grade Beef. It is produced in small batches to best suit your taste preferances.
We make our biltong using the finest spices and processors.
Salt, Pepper, Coriander, Vinegar ,Worcestershire Sauce, Celery flavour, Sugar.
The Rump is trimmed, cut, spiced and marinated for up to 48hrs. It is then hung in an industrial air drying cabinet and dries at approximately 25 degrees celcius until dried to perfection.
once the biltong has dried to its prefered readiness, it is then taken out the drier and fed through an electrical biltong slicer. The biltong can be sliced in accordance to the consumers preferance, being thin to slightly thicker. The product is then packaged in brown paper bags. The biltong can be enjoyed moist and fatty, dry and fatty, moist and lean or dry and lean.
At this stage the biltong is ready to be enjoyed throughout Cape Town, South Africa. Enjoy it as a healthy family snack, a high-protein snack on-the-go or as the perfect companion to an ice-cold beer.
